Bacheta the record-breaker

In race 2 today Luciano Bacheta became the first ever Formula Two driver to win 4 races in a row.  Having qualified 3rd, it took Bacheta only 3 corners to take the lead on lap 1.  Having taken the lead, he came under pressure from 2nd placed Mathéo Tuscher, who for much of the race was faster than Bacheta, but Bacheta managed to keep the Swiss teenager behind him to take the win.  While it had seemed that Tuscher was building for an attack on Bacheta, he allowed Bacheta to get away when Bacheta locked up, surprising Tuscher and causing him to run wide.  It was nevertheless a great performance from Tuscher, and he should be able to build upon the experience, and could well be a Formula Two race winner soon.

Behind Bacheta and Tuscher's battle for the lead, Markus Pommer and Christopher Zanella had a great battle for 3rd position, with Pommer eventually getting the better of Zanella and pulling away.  Had the race been longer Pommer might have caught Tuscher and Bacheta to challenge them for position, but having spent so long in his battle with Zanella he was forced to settle for 3rd.
